About OMGHey
OMGHey is a live social app for people who want to meet someone new in a real conversation instead of swiping through profiles for hours. Two nights a week — Sunday for video and Wednesday for text — everyone goes live at 9 PM local time, gets matched with one real person nearby, and actually talks.
Why we built it
Most dating and social apps optimize for time on app. We optimize for getting off the app. The unit isn't a profile; it's a conversation. If we do our job well, you spend a few minutes a week on OMGHey and the rest of your time on the people you met there.
Who it's for
OMGHey is built for adults — primarily people in their late teens through their early 30s — who are tired of swiping, ghosting, and the strange asynchrony of modern dating and friendship apps. The college experience is verified to .edu emails; the general experience is open to anyone 18+.
