Live Video is OMGHey's Sunday-night format. At 9 PM in your local time zone, you tap Go Live, and within seconds you're on a one-on-one video call with a real person nearby. Cameras on, no profiles, no waiting.
How a Sunday night runs
- 9 PM local: live window opens. Tap Go Live.
- The app pairs you with a nearby user and opens a video call.
- You talk face to face for a short round.
- At the end, choose match, extend, or skip.
- Repeat as many times as you want during the window.
Why video matters
Video collapses three or four messages worth of guessing into one moment. Tone, energy, sense of humor — all of it shows up immediately. You learn more in two minutes of video than in two weeks of swiping.
Setup that actually works
- Decent light. Ceiling lights from behind are the enemy.
- Hold your phone at eye level. Not in your lap.
- Headphones if you're somewhere noisy.
- Wi-Fi if you have it. Cellular works fine.
What happens if you match
Mutual matches move into your matches list and you can keep talking — text, video, swap numbers, plan to meet. The match has no expiration.
